Arrested Development: The Complete Series (Seasons 1-3 Bundle) Season two In this five-time Emmy®-winning comedy's hilarious second season, Michael Bluth, once again determined to be

$45.98 USD

Season two In this five-time Emmy®-winning comedy's hilarious second season, Michael Bluth, once again determined to be free of his dysfunctional family, packs up the car and his son George-Michael and heads for Arizona. But he's soon pulled over by the police who tell him that his father, George Sr., has broken out of prison. Due to the company's shady business deal with Iraq, Michael could face prison time, so he returns home to clear his name even as George Sr. secretly flees to Mexico, Tobias decides to be an understudy for the Blue Man Group, and Lucille begins a torrid affair with her husband's twin brother, Oscar. Season three In this Emmy®-winning comedy's hilarious third season, Michael Bluth finally realizes that it's his Uncle Oscar serving time in prison, not his father. Reluctant to spring Oscar due to the effect it may have on the family business, Michael decides that the only fair thing to do is to find his father and place him under house arrest. Yet once found, George Sr. insists he was tricked into working with the Iraqis, leaving Michael no choice but to investigate his father's outrageous claim. But it isn't until Michael and Buster go to Iraq on a rescue mission to save Gob that the depth of the devious plot is revealed...and Michael learns which family member is the real brains behind all the madness. Season One: Winner of the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy its first year out, Arrested Development is the kind of sitcom that gives you hope for television. A mockumentary-style exploration of the beleaguered Bluth family, it's one of those idiosyncratic shows that doesn't rely on a laugh track or a studio audience; it's shot more like a TV drama, albeit with an omniscient narrator (executive producer Ron Howard) overseeing the proceedings. Holding the Bluths together just barely is son Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), the only normal guy in a family that's chock full of nuts. Hardworking and sensible, Michael's certain he's going to be given control of his family's Enron-style corporation upon the retirement of his father (Jeffrey Tambor). The fact that he's passed over instead for his mother (Jessica Walter) is only a blip when compared to his father's immediate arrest for dubious accounting practices, and the resulting freeze on the family's previously limitless wealth. Bereft of money, and even less family love, the Bluths have to band together in their moment of need--not easy when everyone's looking out for number 1. In addition to his scabrous parents, Michael has to contend with his lothario older brother (Will Arnett), his basically useless younger brother (Tony Hale), his greedy twin sister (Portia DeRossi), and her sexually ambiguous husband (David Cross). Michael's only comrade in sanity is his son George Michael (Michael Cera), but then again, the teenage boy harbors a secret crush on his cousin (Alia Shawkat). A peerless ensemble led by the brilliant Bateman (who ever knew he could be this good?), all the actors are pitch-perfect in their roles, delivering the dryly funny, sometimes absurdist dialogue with the speed and flair of classic farce. The unusual tone of Arrested Development takes a bit of getting used to--it's far different from anything you'll see on TV, even HBO--but once you buy in to the Bluths' innumerable dysfunctions, you'll be laughing your head off for hours.--Mark Englehart Season Two: The axe of cancellation dangled perilously over Arrested Development during its second season, but the award-winning comedy fought against fate to deliver a hilarious if scattershot 18 episodes (reduced from the original show order of 22), and stayed alive for the beginning of a third season. Most likely, the creators and actors knew the clock was ticking down, so they didn't hesitate to throw their all into these manic, hilarious episodes, which have only the thinnest of plot arcs but an electrifying energy that makes them hard to resist. Some of the story antics were more of the same: good son Michael (Jason Bateman) tries to keep his company afloat, but is often foiled by older brother Gob (Will Arnett); the precarious marriage of Lindsay (Portia de Rossi) and Tobias (David Cross) undergoes a trial separation; and young George-Michael (Michael Cera) fights his attraction to his cousin Maeby (Alia Shawkat). Other show developments, though, were new and stunningly, uproariously bizarre: Buster (Tony Hale) joins the army, but later finds his hand bitten off by a seal (yes, a real seal), and Oscar (Jeffrey Tambor), the hippie brother of jailed George Sr. (also Tambor), rekindles an affair with sister-in-law Lucille (Jessica Walter), which may have resulted in Buster's conception years ago. Jokes flew fast and furious, as did guest stars--Ben Stiller, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Christine Taylor, Thomas Jane, Ed Begley Jr., Ione Skye, and Zach Braff among them--making it hard to keep straight who was doing what and why. No matter, as each of the episodes was in and of itself was a perfect gem of comedy, strung together by sharp writing and fantastic performances. In addition to the regular cast, both Liza Minnelli, reprising her role as "Lucille Two," and Martin Short, as an, um, eccentric family friend, deserve special mention, with the episode both appeared in, "Ready, Aim, Marry Me," a frenetic exercise in slapstick farce. Typical examples of the show's offbeat humor were found in "Afternoon Delight," in which various members of the Bluth family discover the true meaning of the '70s ballad, "Meet the Veals," wherein the Bluths encounter the conservative parents of George Michael's girlfriend, and "Motherboy XXX," surrounding an unsettling mother-son traditional dance. The entire cast cohered perfectly through this season, and their give and take provided a perfect balance among the actors, all of whom were even better than the previous year. However, it's Bateman who should be singled out as the show's anchor, mixing dry sarcasm with impeccable comic timing. Despite plummeting ratings, Arrested Development didn't just keep its head above water, it swam with grace and hilarity. --Mark Englehart Season Three: Arrested Development--one of the greatest comedies in the history of television--went out in a blaze of glory. The truncated final season packed more biting humor per minute than ever before. In only 13 episodes, dozens of intertwining storylines spun in all directions: In addition to the overarching story about the fractious infighting of the Bluth family and the family's housing development company being investigated for treason in Iraq (a plot arc that comes to a dazzlingly surreal conclusion), the put-upon "good son" Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman, Teen Wolf Too) pursues romance with a lovely British woman (Charlize Theron, Monster) who turns out to be woefully inappropriate; swaggering magician Gob (Will Arnett, Monster-In-Law) flees from his newly-discovered teenage son while still pandering for the affection of his self-absorbed father (Jeffrey Tambor, The Larry Sanders Show); flighty Lindsay (Portia de Rossi, Ally McBeal) and her sexually blurry husband Tobias (David Cross, Mr. Show) both get the hots for the family's new lawyer, Bob Loblaw (Scott Baio, Charles in Charge); and much, much more. It's difficult to describe what makes Arrested Development so brilliant. The ensemble is uniformly superb (Jessica Walter, as the family's boozing, scheming matriarch, is particularly devastating this season) and the surprising guest stars (including Andy Richter, James Lipton, Justine Bateman, and many others) are perfectly cast; the characters' abominable behavior defies conventional television notions of "likability", yet they only grow more endearing the more you watch; the humor embraces wild slapstick and sharp satire, often within a single scene; and the nimble documentary style allows for sly glancing references to jokes and scenes from long-past episodes, rewarding devoted fans. But the key is that, no matter how screwball Arrested Development becomes, the show offers a rich, textured, and wonderfully coherent world in which these characters feel genuine, a world completely unlike the flat, plastic simulacrum offered by the average sitcom. Arrested Development was true to itself to the end. Its followers will cherish it forever. --Bret Fetzer

$12.43 USD

“Sacred America, Sacred World provides an unprecedented vision of global possibilities, based in a frank, but balanced historical background of the greatness, as well as the unhealed wounds, of America. This national and global vision is rooted in the spiritual awareness that we are all members of one human family. This includes a fundamental need to fully understand and address the genocide of Indigenous Peoples, as well as honoring their unique and invaluable contributions to our collective future.” ―Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr., member of the Dakota and Chickasaw Nation; global trustee, United Religions Initiative; and chairman of the Four Worlds International Institute“If, as the Bible says, ‘where there is no vision, the people perish,’ then this book is our survival manual. It provides exactly the vision we, the people, have been searching for.” ―Mark Gerzon, author of Leading Through Conflict and The Reunited States of America“This is the first great manifesto of the evolutionary, trans-partisan political movement of our time. . . . In this appealingly personal but deeply knowledgeable book, Stephen Dinan shows us a better way. Like some of the great political philosophers of the 19th century, he shines a spotlight on the most promising currents of the day. . . . He shows us how we can better become the richly complex and self-aware beings that we truly are.” ―Mark Satin, author of New Age Politics (1976, rev. 2015) and Radical Middle (2004)“Bookstores are full of attempts to map the transition from the last century into the new one and away from a world full of silos, hard-edged ideologies, and personal agendas. Dinan’s vision is unique. He is recognized as the prime ‘shift-master’ of our age and generation because he goes where most fear to tread and maps out new and fresh blends of tools and alloys that hold the promise of creating a brighter day for all. Get a copy of Sacred America, Sacred World. No! Buy 10 and delight your friends.” ―Don Edward Beck, PhD, Center for Human Emergence, Denton, Texas“This is an important book and does a great job at connecting the big issues of our day, making it real and compelling for readers to act in ways that speak to the ‘better angels of our nature.’” ―Diane Randall, executive secretary of Friends Committee on National Legislation“Stephen Dinan lays out a compelling vision for a nation and world with the political, economic, and social conditions needed to bring lasting peace and prosperity. And he advocates a clear path. Sacred America, Sacred World is a must-read for all those who yearn for a brighter tomorrow.” ―Steve Farrell, worldwide executive director, Humanity’s Team“Sacred America, Sacred World is a crash course on the intersection of politics, spirituality, and citizens. Like the three-legged stool, all are required for the United States to fulfill our potential. We, as citizens, are at a crossroads. Will we pick up the banner of our responsibility and thrive, or allow the degradation to continue? To choose wisely, start with reading this book.” ―Debilyn Molineaux, president, Coffee Party USA; codirector, Bridge Alliance“If the Founding Fathers could have written a book about the United States in contemporary times, this would be it.” ―Walter Semkiw, MD, author of Return of the Revolutionaries“The difference between a cockeyed optimist and a visionary is that one encourages us to sit back while the other inspires us to commit to a vision and take action. In Sacred America, Sacred World, Stephen Dinan offers us a highly compelling blueprint to engage in deep and totally achievable global transformation. This is a visionary work of the highest order.” ―James O’Dea, author of The Conscious Activist, former president of IONS, former director of Amnesty International, D.C.“Dinan’s book is a shot across the bow of political complacency. He is calling on Americans from across the political spectrum to aspire to something higher than the conventional ideas and institutions that now drive our politics. He points to the reality of order and freedom as energetic forces within individuals and the culture as well as the need to address the country’s psychic shadow. It’s a starting point for very important conversations that must take place if our constitutional republic is to not only survive but thrive.” ―Michael D. Ostrolenk, transpartisan social entrepreneur; cofounder of the Liberty Coalition“Sacred America, Sacred World provides a valuable voyager’s guide to traversing the uncharted waters of planetary transformation. It points us in the direction of functional transpartisan politics, sustainable economics, and our individual responsibility as participants in nurturing civilization’s evolution. The insights offered in this powerful book have the potential to change the world.” ―Bruce H. Lipton, PhD, bestselling author of The Biology of Belief“Very few times in one’s life does a book of monumental importance and significance come along. This book is one of those times. Sacred America, Sacred World will awaken the deep dream within you for the next level of the expression of America’s soul in the world. Stephen both honors ideologies and also transcends them into a shared mission and destiny for America and humanity. This book is nothing less than the blueprint and the foundation for the next level of the American Dream.” ―Martin Rutte, bestselling author of Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work“Major evolutionary changes are looming on America’s political horizon, and Stephen Dinan’s book is the first I’ve seen to announce them so clearly.” ―Rich Tafel, director of the Project for the Future Right and founder of Log Cabin Republicans“I am sitting here crying and cannot begin to express how touched I was by everything you wrote and how proud I am of the person you have become and your vision for our country and world. It is the best book I have ever read!!” ―Mom“Reading Stephen Dinan’s epic tome during a presidential election year full of debased debates is like opening a window to a room that’s been hermetically sealed for decades. This book is disruptively sacred, delectably stimulating, and deeply spiritual. Read it and reap.” ―Chip Conley, bestselling author of Peak, entrepreneur who built a $250M business, top-rated TED presenter“When divisive and mean-spirited politics occupy so much of our public conversation, it’s easy to become cynical and resigned. But we are capable of something better, we crave something better, and in his sparkling new book Stephen Dinan has given us a vision of how we might actually achieve something far better. He outlines a clear path toward healing the rifts that have torn our society asunder, appreciating our differences, and uniting in common cause to create a world worth passing on to our children.” ―John Robbins, author of Diet for a New America and cofounder and president of the Food Revolution Network“This wise and moving book will help us all in the central task of our time. That of reinventing a way of being and doing that reflects our sacred nature and sacred purpose.” ―Andrew Harvey, author of over 30 books and founder of Institute for Sacred Activism“A wonderful book for all futurists, evolutionaries, social entrepreneurs, spirit-motivated activists, and pioneering souls everywhere.” –Barbara Marx Hubbard, President, Foundation for Conscious Evolution“Stephen Dinan has performed a unique feat: he has created a holistic view of the future of the United States without demonizing anyone. This is book is a powerful road map to a better world and a better country. It will be a guidebook for visionaries, activists, and change agents for years to come.” ―Tim Kelley, global consultant, author of True Purpose“Responding to a broken political world of ends-justified tactics and narrow self-interests, Dinan provides a positive, holistic vision for our democracy.” ―Don Ness, former mayor, Duluth, Minnesota“Stephen Dinan invites us to connect with the sacred mission to reinvent the world that is America’s deep reason for being. He provides us with many transformative strategies to do that, but underneath each of them is a being infused with hope for the future and an indomitable belief in possibility. Read this book if you wish to be infused with Stephen’s two precious gifts for navigating the 21st century on Planet Earth.” ―David Gershon, CEO of Empowerment Institute and author of Social Change 2.0: A Blueprint for Reinventing the World“Sacred America, Sacred World offers an inspiring vision of our spiritual roots and our future potential as a nation, while also addressing shadow elements that need healing. It provides fascinating insights on how to transcend rigid liberal/conservative ideologies, based on the author’s own experience, and gives many useful ideas for how citizens can get engaged in transforming America.” ―Corinne McLaughlin and Gordon Davidson, coauthors of Spiritual Politics and cofounders of The Center for Visionary Leadership“Heartfelt and personal, yet also well-informed by leading-edge political thinking, I highly recommend this thoughtful and thoroughly readable book.” ―Steve McIntosh, author of Integral Consciousness and the Future of Evolution“Rarely does a book come along that not only presents an illuminating picture of how our country and our world can evolve to work for everyone, but also offers profound understanding about how to get there. Sacred America, Sacred World is such a book and a remarkable achievement. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, Stephen’s pragmatic vision can excite and guide us. A deep bow to his intelligence, his heart, and his commitment to our beloved country and the world.” ―John Steiner and Margo King“The American Dream used to mean something. With the heartfelt inspiration and practical wisdom offered in Stephen’s book, it can once again. Read this book if you are an advocate for not just rebuilding America but for truly making the world holy. Sacred America, Sacred World opens doorways and pathways into the world we have barely believed possible, and it is time now to make that dream real. In many ways, this powerful book is the answer to our prayers.” ―Marcia Wieder, CEO of The Meaning Institute and bestselling author of DREAM“Sacred America, Sacred World is a clarion call of hope. It conveys Stephen Dinan’s spiritually inspired vision for America’s political and cultural evolution. Steeped in the values of the left, he has come to understand an evolutionary vision of cultural change in which both Left and Right play enduring roles in the dialectic of progress, for which both must evolve. He offers an intimate, heartfelt confession of his sacred spiritual intuition in a way that speaks to the highest values of conservatives and radicals alike. Thoughtful, readable, original, and highly recommended!” ―Terry Patten, founder of Bay Area Integral and author of Integral Life Practice“Sacred America, Sacred World could not be more timely. It is profoundly courageous in penetrating the cloud of so-called ‘realism’ that keeps from dreaming a new dream for our country. It inspires and challenges each of us to look at our own beliefs and behavior that make us part of the problem rather than helping to birth the solutions. Stephen is also profoundly courageous in engaging with our greatest moral and political challenges―from income inequality and terrorism to racism and genocide. Both Stephen and his book meet these challenges with that all-too-rare combination of tough-mindedness and open heart.” ―Robert Gass, executive coach“Dinan provides an alluring future vision for the new American dream! This is a call to move beyond labels or political affiliations in order to assemble as evolutionary citizens. Sacred America, Sacred World provides an open exploration of how to truly serve the collective whole in a way that works better for everybody.” ―Yanik Silver, author of Evolved Enterprise and founder of Maverick1000“I loved this book! Stephen Dinan is finally illuminating how politics can elevate America. This book takes us on a journey of hope and change, one not focused just on externals but on how we can unite our country as a whole to bring forth our best from within.” ―Sister Jenna, radio host and director of Brahma Kumaris, Washington, D.C.“Reading Sacred America, Sacred World is like plugging into an evolutionary dynamo for the betterment of our precious country. It positively crackles with creativity, insight, unflinching analysis, and vision both sublime and practical. This ‘Common Sense’ from a fiercely patriotic, 21st-century Tom Paine is a must read for forward-thinking Americans of all parties and persuasions.” ―Saniel Bonder, founder of Waking Down in Mutuality™ and author of Healing the Spirit/Matter Split“Read Sacred America, Sacred World. Like breaking in new shoes, Dinan’s prescription may be uncomfortable at first. But my prayer is that it can empower a seismic shift in perspective from focusing on one’s own life to centering rightly on the good of our country and our world.” ―Gayle S. Rose, CEO of EVS Corporation“This book is simply beautiful, wise, and brilliantly conceived. It is a work of intellectual prowess, leavened with heart and wisdom that calls us to a new American Dream. It inspires hope for higher possibilities in our nation and the world.” ―J. Manuel Herrera, Silicon Valley elected official“We live in a sacred ‘web of life,’ with intricate connections that indigenous peoples have honored and respected for millennia. We are interdependent with everyone and everything. Stephen Dinan’s call to embrace that interdependence in a new era of democracy is core to healing our country and our world. Thank you, Stephen, for sharing this vision for a sacred world and for this timely message to us all.” ―Betsy Hall McKinney, founder and CEO of It’s Time Network About the Author Stephen Dinan is the CEO of The Shift Network and a member of the prestigious Transformational Leadership Council and the Evolutionary Leaders group. As the former Director of Membership and Marketing at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, he was the driving force behind the Shift in Action program. He also directed and helped to create the Esalen Institute’s Center for Theory & Research, a think tank for leading scholars, researchers, and teachers to explore human potential frontiers. www.sacredamerica.net

Deepak Chopra and Rudolph Tanzi illustrate the interplay of nature and nurture using cutting edge genetic science and argue persuasively that adapting one’s lifestyle can maximize the potential to transcend the inherited susceptibilities handed down to us from our parents." –James Gusella, Ph.D., Director, Center for Human Genetic Research Harvard Medical School “Once thought to be the domain of genes, the control of health and behavior is now dynamically linked to the environment, and more importantly, our perception of the environment. Super Genes, by Deepak Chopra and Rudy Tanzi, is a paradigm-shattering synthesis of epigenetic science that offers an easy-to-understand explanation of the mechanisms by which consciousness and environment control our genetic activity. Drs. Chopra and Tanzi’s contribution is a valuable resource that empowers us to become the masters of our fate rather than the ‘victims’ of our heredity.” –Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., Epigenetic scientist and bestselling author of The Biology of Belief, Spontaneous Evolution and The Honeymoon Effect "The concept that biology is destiny is one of the most pathological and toxic exaggerations to emerge during the entire scientific era. This hard-core materialistic view has been a kind of psychological enslavement that has pushed many people into nihilism and despair. In Super Genes, Drs. Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi discuss new evidence that our genes are not our masters, but they respond in large measure to our choices and behaviors. The resulting view honors not just the body but mind and spirit as well—a vision that is as bright and hopeful as the old view was morbid and depressing. Super Genes is an important book. It will empower anyone who reads it, because it expands our view of what it means to be human." –Larry Dossey, MD, author of One Mind: How Our Individual Mind Is Part of a Greater Consciousness and Why It Matters "Super Genes demolishes the myth that our genes determine our fate. Deepak Chopra and Rudy Tanzi explain in breathtaking detail the magic of how our diet, lifestyle, our thoughts and even our gut bacteria or microbiome "talk" to our genes, regulating which genes get turned on or off, or turned up or down influencing every aspect of our health. This is essential reading for anyone interested in turning on their health, weight loss, happiness and longevity genes!" –Mark Hyman, MD, Director, Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, author of the #1 New York Times Bestseller, The Blood Sugar Solution. “We used to think everything about us was either our genetics or our environment. But in Super Genes, Deepak Chopra and Rudi Tanzi adeptly teach us that it’s all about both—how tightly they are intertwined. And what we can do about it.” –Eric Topol, MD, author The Patient Will See You Now, Professor of Genomics, The Scripps Research Institute “Flawlessly weaving together the complicated science of genetics with the touching stories of very real people, my friends Deepak and Rudolph have written a book that you won’t put down. You will find yourself scribbling furious notes, and sharing your new wisdom with the people you love. First they gave us all the ability to have Super Brains, and now they have done the same with our Super Genes.” –Sanjay Gupta, MD, Neurosurgeon and author of Chasing Life, Cheating Death and Monday Mornings "A ground breaking and eye-opening account of recent discoveries in two new fields - epigenetics and microbiomics - weaved with practical insights to optimize our own wellness and longevity. Rudy Tanzi and Deepak Chopra, renowned pioneers in their respective fields, have written one of the most important health books of the year." –Murali Doraiswamy MD, Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine, Duke University “Super Genes will take you on an exciting journey of discovery about the ways genetic expression can be modified by simple lifestyle changes and even by how you use your mind. The essential message of this important book is that your genes alone do not determine your destiny. You can learn how to influence them to enjoy better health and optimum well-being. I recommend it.” –Andrew Weil, MD, author, Healthy Aging and Spontaneous Happiness “Our genes are a predisposition, but they are not our fate. The biological mechanisms that affect our health and well-being are often extraordinarily dynamic—for better and for worse. When we eat well, move more, stress less, and love more, our bodies often have a remarkable ability to transform and heal. Super Genes is a superb contribution to our growing knowledge that mind, brain, genome, and microbiome can act as a single system. Drs. Chopra and Tanzi continue to make pioneering contributions that are bringing integrative medicine into the mainstream. Highly recommended!” –Dean Ornish, M.D., Founder and President, Preventive Medicine Research Institute Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco “Genetics is a two-way street. Drs. Chopra and Tanzi show how the mind can tell the genes to heal the body .” –Stuart Hameroff, M.D., Banner-University Medical Center, The University of Arizona About the Author DEEPAK CHOPRA MD, FACP, member of Oprah's SuperSoul 100, founder of The Chopra Foundation, and co-founder of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation. Black Tea Savor the original, delicious taste enjoyed by discriminating tea connoisseurs for more than a century. Lipton Orange Pekoe and Pekoe cut black tea is the ideal blend for the perfect cup of tea. Tea, Hydration, And Health To help maintain hydration and health nutrition, experts from the Institute of Medicine has determined that an adequate intake for women is approximately 9 cups of fluids every day, and for men is approximately 13 cups of fluids every day. Since tea without added sugar or milk is 99.5 percent water, it can count towards your fluid intake for the day - plus it tastes great! Unsweetened tea delivers the purifying effect of water, which helps remove toxins from the body. Myth: It’s a common perception that tea, or other drinks containing caffeine, have a diuretic effect, which means causes higher frequency of urination and will lower your body’s hydration level. Fact: However, research shows that the levels of caffeine in regularly consumed amounts of tea do not lead to dehydration, and in fact the fluid in tea contributes to hydration. About Lipton An aromatic, uplifting beverage savored for centuries around the world from India and Ireland to the USA, tea was once an expensive drink, enjoyed exclusively by the wealthy. And with early packaging and transportation issues, it was also variable in quality and taste. In 1880, 40-year-old, Glasgow-born entrepreneur and innovator Sir Thomas Lipton envisioned an opportunity to make tea universally accessible with guaranteed quality at acceptable prices. He began by purchasing tea estates in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, and arranged packaging and shipping at low costs to sell his teas directly from the tea garden to the tea pot. In 1893, he established the Thomas J Lipton Co., a tea packing company with its headquarters and factory in Hoboken, New Jersey. Lipton teas were an immediate success in the United States and the United Kingdom. In recognition of his exceptional contribution, Thomas Lipton was knighted by Queen Victoria in 1898, and became Sir Thomas Lipton at the age of forty-eight. Lipton is now a world leading tea brand, sold in more than 150 countries.
